Mr. Sharek and his lovely wife, Fran, went to high school together in Orlando and were married on New Year's Eve, 1966. They have two sons; Chris is an Environmental Engineer in Sarasota; Andy is a teacher, living in Virginia. Fran has also been a substitute teacher at the beach-side elementary schools for the past 30 years. They are blessed with three exceptional grandchildren.
Bob is a retired Air Force Officer and completed a 27 year second career with Rockwell International, retiring as the Corporate Security Operations Manager. He has an Accounting Degree from Florida State University and an Executive MBA from Florida Institute of Technology. He was an Adjunct Professor (Mathematics) for BCC/Eastern Florida State College for 17 years. He is a board certified Senior Professional in Human Resources.
After living in Satellite Beach for 30 years, Bob and Fran moved to Indian Harbour Beach in 2013. Bob was the Vice President on the Founding Board of Directors for the Melbourne Police Association, a member of the Brevard County Association of Chiefs of Police, a member of the Brevard County Joint Terrorist Task Force, and has served on the Board of Trustees for the Indian Harbour Beach Police Retirement Fund for a term of five years. Bob has served on the City Council since June 2019.
