Public Works plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our community during and after a hurricane. Our department works closely with other city agencies to clear debris from roadways and repair any damage caused by the hurricane. Our team is equipped with the necessary tools and equipment to remove fallen trees, repair damaged infrastructure, and make it possible for other agencies to restore power and water service as quickly as possible. The department is also responsible for coordinating with local contractors and other resources to bring in additional equipment and personnel as needed. Our goal is to minimize the disruption caused by a hurricane and get our community back to normal as soon as possible.
