[ARCHIVED] City Receives $3.3 Million in Grants for Vital Stormwater Projects

The City is celebrating a major victory as it was recently awarded an impressive $3.3 million in state grants. These funds will be allocated towards four essential stormwater projects aimed at reducing the pollutant loading of the beloved Indian River Lagoon.

The Indian River Lagoon is a cherished natural resource, providing residents and visitors with breathtaking scenery and a thriving ecosystem. However, the lagoon has been facing the challenge of pollutant accumulation, affecting its overall health and vitality. In response to this concern, the City took proactive measures to secure the necessary funding to address the issue head-on.

The grants, obtained from the state, will be instrumental in supporting the city's stormwater management initiatives. By implementing a series of strategic projects, the city aims to minimize pollutant runoff into the Indian River Lagoon, safeguarding its ecological balance and enhancing water quality.

The stormwater projects are as follows: 
$200,000 Ronnie Exfiltration Extension
$500,000 Alhambra Exfiltration
$1,200,000 Atlantic Exfiltration West
$1,200,000 Atlantic Exfiltration East
